Dr - it's just the title, a title
prestige, power and money - these 3 words describe the perfect career flawlessly......then, what is the perfect career?
you can be bill gates, drop out of college and miraculously establish a company so powerful and prestigious that will undoubtedly reap millions in no time.
or, you can work your arse out just to get that doctorate that gives you that very title that provides all 3 components of the perfect career.
or, you can just be the above 2 people's son, that inherits everything......
i do not have a flair for business, neither am i the son of a billionaire.......the only way for me to work it out then, is by the 2nd method - get my doctorate.......
as the research field slowly unfolds its content upon my very eyes via my honours year project, i know, i can't take it beyond one year - i want out.
i just want to be an ordinary fellow.
i don't want prestige.
i don't want power.
i just want sufficient money to support my daily needs.
that said, i'll still work hard for my final year, the final battle after so many years of hard work......
