i have seen the light.....i thank God for friends that are able to chat the whole night through, i thank God for friends that make you smile and go lively when u're down, i thank God for friends that love me, i thank God for friends that are just there when i need to scream at the top of my voice......

i so wish i could say that.....

i get jealous when i see friends together, and i mean inextricably bonded by emotions, actions and passion.....

thing is, i don't trust ppl easily for obvious reasons.....i need to relax a little, i'm too tense.....i need to smile more, be jolly, be happy, bring cheers to the ppl ard me.....hahahahha, sounds like santa claus or worse, that fast food chain mascot that still smiles even if u give him a whack on his manhood *ouch, but he still keeps his composure, outwardly, with his smile*

so don't be surprise if u find me skipping with a wide grin when i think no one's looking, don't worry, i'm not chuky, i'm just me, being me.....

almost everything in science is based on the fundamental concept of atom.....the atomic theory, explains basically almost everything.....kinetic energy la, protein binding la etc etc.....imagine if we have the technology to develope a "pico"scope to zoom into an object and see the atoms, i wonder what'll it be like? will we see red-coloured carbon atoms? hahahahaha.....then again, imagine if we don't see atoms, but maybe say, fine lines, no electrons, no protons, no neutrons, just lines.....100 years of science, all down the drain.....

then again, who cares about the theories? who cares when u inject insulin, what kind of receptors it binds and what amino acids are involved? as long as a person with juvenile-onset diabetes melitus gets his fair share of insulin and feels good, heck, who cares about the atomic theory......

what i'm trying to say is that, theories help us to understand and it can be wrong, but practicality is what we are all concerned with.....

imagine if a doctor tells a patient :
this drug A binds to your receptors and causes natural secretion of peptide A
this drug B is a synthetic form of peptide A taken orally
this drug C is a synthetic form of peptide A injected into the veins
this drug D........

the dumbfounded patient stares and asks, so which one is the best?

soccer matches, baseball matches, concerts etc are blatant extortions from willing fanatics.....i once thought that these things were a waste of time and money, that $100 you paid (and thought that it was a good deal when you saw your favourite player scoring, and for the fairer sex, seeing your cutie pie jogging on the field *stops for 10 seconds of non-stop-ear-piercing screaming*) could have been better spent on your face (hahahahhaha.....)

apparently not, one fan who caught a baseball ball reported to be the ball that some player called barry bonds used for his record setting 756th homer (WHATEVER......) became $700,000 richer......

a $100 entrance fee for the match turned into a $700,000 cheque......now that's a great deal.....

so that fan was smart enough to watch that match.....so that makes the other, say, 10,000 fans in that match idiotic losers who lost their $100......they deserved it (bite me.....)

i once thought that the S/U policy would benefit me.....hours and hours of planning, analysing and predicting my results in the middle of the semester ultimately did not yield my desired results......ok la, i know i complain a lot about my vietnamese 2 (it's shitty getting a B+ for something that you can S/U la), but it's reasonable to complain so much especially now when they've just changed the whole S/U policy allowing students to S/U after seeing your results (it is blatant discrimination la, seniors are at a disadvantage).....

and so, now they allow us to retract our previous S/U's but still forbid us from S/Uing our previous shitty modules (like vietnamese 2.....argh....) for fear of freshmen being at the disadvantage end.....oh come on, i learned to live with only 3 S/U's decided in the middle of the sem during my freshmen year and suffered the UNBEARABLE (yes, it's in caps for a reason), so that's fairness? i would actually appreciate it more if they just left the S/U system unchanged.....idiots, what were they thinking?

the only comfort would be that i think i did quite well in the modules i S/Ued......hopefully the grades were good enough for me to unS/U, or i'll start cursing the S/U policy......again.....

freshmen......hah, what do they know about uni life? likewise, my seniors probably said the same thing 2 years ago.....

with or without contact lenses? as much as i would like to believe that i look much better with contacts on because i spent so much time putting it on and washing it and not to mention the amount of money i had invested in it, all in the name of beauty; my friends beg to differ.....they prefer me with specs on......blah

the same thing goes with with or without mascara? (not for me la obviously)......in this case, it's much more sad cause the question wouldn't be "do i look better with mascara?" but rather "did u notice that i applied mascara????" indeed, unless u use the brush straight out from the bottle without tapping it and thus, causing your lashes to clump, at least 50% of the ignorant testosterone-overdosed species won't notice its existence.....in fact try throwing that "did u notice i applied mascara?" question to them and they'll probably go "what's mascara?"

it's just plain sad......
